Medical Assistant

As a medical assistant you will be responsible for providing mainly back office and basic front office support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office.

We have a busy clinic with three foot and ankle surgeons working M-F. You will be responsible for the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Room patients
• Triage
• Take x-rays (able to teach)
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms/medical instruments
• Assist with medical procedures
• Answer phone calls
• Schedule appointments
• Scan, fax, email etiquette
• Doppler Machine
• Shock Wave Therapy
• Calling in Perscriptions

Skills

• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance (Preferred)

• Knowledge of medical office EMR systems (EClinicalWorks Preferred)

• Time management, ability to multi-task, and prioritize work

• Reliable worker with reliable transportation

• Bilingual English/Spanish speaking is preferred

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment

• Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatments, and preventive care

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• EMR systems: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
