Medical Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant /Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient service abilities, and a solid understanding of medical terminology. Prior experience in Outpatient clinic is highly valued. The Medical Assistant will support physicians and healthcare professionals by providing exceptional patient care and administrative support

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and documenting vital signs

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures in outpatient and inpatient settings

• Perform basic clinical tasks such as

• Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately for documentation of patient encounters

• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to safety standards

• Provide excellent patient service by addressing patient questions and ensuring comfort throughout their visit

• Greet patients promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression

• Schedule appointments and manage patient intake processes efficiently

• Verify patient insurance information and assist with billing inquiries

• Collect and record vital signs, patient history, and other relevant clinical information

• Assist with documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and ICD coding

• Maintain accurate patient records while adhering to confidentiality protocols

Skills

• Strong , and medical terminology in internal medicine,

• Experience working in outpatient clinics

• Proficiency with EHR systems and ICD coding for accurate documentation

• Ability to perform clinical tasks including intake assessments, vital signs measurement

• Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care across diverse populations including geriatrics

• Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
