Medical Assistant

We are seeking a Medical Assistant I to provide clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.

· Schedule Notes: M-F, 8:30-5pm

· Contract: 2 months

· Days Per Week: 5.00

· Hours Per Day: 8.00

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare patients, take and document vital signs, and assist with examinations and procedures.

· Perform phlebotomy, venipuncture, injections, specimen collection, and routine diagnostic testing.

· Assist physicians, RNs, and NPs with patient care and clinical procedures.

· Prepare, clean, and maintain examination rooms, equipment, medications, and supplies.

· Collect, handle, and send specimens to the appropriate laboratory.

· Document patient information, procedures, and concerns accurately in the medical record.

· Provide patient education and respond professionally to patient and family needs.

· Follow medication safety, infection-control, emergency response, and established clinical protocols.

· Maintain inventory and support pharmacy medication handling as required.

Required Skills & Experience:

· Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.

· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong communication, organization, customer service, and documentation skills.

· Ability to work with diverse patients, families, and healthcare staff.

· Ability to recognize and promptly report patient concerns or changes in condition.

· BLS and ability to respond appropriately to medical emergencies.

Required Education:

· High School diploma or GED.

· Completion of all requirements in a recognized Medical Assistant training program.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

· Current American Heart Association (AHA) Certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
