Medical Assistant

About the role

This is a Medical Assistant position responsible for providing first aid and basic medical treatment to employees and contractors, managing medical room operations, supporting occupational health programs, responding to workplace emergencies, maintaining medical records, and promoting employee health and wellness.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first aid and basic medical treatment to employees and contractors
• Attend to workplace injuries, illness, and medical emergencies
• Arrange referral to clinic/hospital when required
• Manage the daily operation of the medical room
• Ensure medical equipment, medicines and first aid supplies are available and in good condition
• Monitor stock and expiry dates of medical supplies
• Support medical surveillance and health screening programs
• Monitor employees with medical restrictions or work-related health concerns
• Coordinate medical appointments and follow-up with clinics, hospitals, and Occupational Health Doctors
• Provide medical support during workplace emergencies and ERT activities

Requirements

• Possess a recognized Diploma in Medical Assistant or valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) or equivalent qualification
• Possess 2-3 years of working experience in related field
• Good knowledge and competency in handling first-aid and emergency situations
• Good understanding of common sickness and basic wound cleaning and treatment
• Able to assess and analyze first-aid equipment and medicine requirements
