West Coast Pediatric Gastroenterology is a private pediatric specialty practice in Sierra Madre, CA, seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Medical Assistant to join our team!

We are looking for a patient-focused individual who enjoys working with children and families, has strong communication skills, and can help keep our office running smoothly. Previous medical office experience is preferred, and pediatric experience is a plus—but not required.

Responsibilities

• Check patients in and out and schedule appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect copayments.
• Prepare patient charts before appointments.
• Order laboratory tests and diagnostic studies as needed.
• Answer phone calls and respond to patient and parent messages.
• Review, sort, and organize incoming faxes and medical records.
• Maintain accurate patient information and protect patient confidentiality.
• Assist with daily administrative tasks and office operations.

Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant or medical office experience preferred.
• CMA certification is a plus, but certification is not required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented, reliable, professional, and able to multitask.
• Comfortable using computers and electronic medical records.
• Enjoys working with children and their families.

Pay & Benefits

• Starting pay of $22.00 per hour.
• Monday–Friday schedule; no regular weekend hours.
• 7 paid holidays annually.
• PTO accrual and paid sick leave in accordance with applicable California law and practice policy.
