In this vital role, you will support Dr. May by performing clinical and administrative duties that ensure smooth clinic operations. Your expertise in medical procedures, patient interaction, and office management will help create a welcoming environment for patients while maintaining the highest standards of healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist Dr. May with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort.
• Perform clinical tasks such as administering medications under supervision, X-ray imaging, and EKGs.
• Support medical office operations through appointment scheduling, patient registration, insurance verification, and maintaining medical records in compliance with privacy regulations.
• Assist with laboratory procedures including specimen collection and processing for pathology or pharmacology testing.
• Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.

Experience

• Prior experience working in a medical office setting or clinical environment is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to support accurate documentation and patient interaction.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred ; additional certifications like phlebotomy or X-ray tech are a plus.
• Familiarity with ICD coding for billing and documentation purposes is beneficial for ensuring compliance and accuracy.This role offers an energetic environment where your proactive approach to patient service combined with technical skills will make a meaningful difference in people's lives every day!

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
