Medical Assistant

Position Overview

We are hiring a dependable and skilled Medical Assistant to provide quality support to patients and clinical staff. The ideal candidate will have strong outpatient experience and excellent patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, height, weight, and pulse oximetry.
• Assist with examinations and clinical procedures.
• Perform injections, immunizations, specimen collection, and venipuncture.
• Perform blood glucose and urine testing.
• Assist with Pap smears, suture removal, and nebulizer treatments.
• Document patient history, medications, and allergies.
• Handle patient calls, pharmacy calls, refill requests, and authorization forms.

Requirements

• MA Certification required: AAMA, AMT, NHA, ARMA, NCCT, or NRCMA.
• BLS required.
• Minimum 2 years of MA experience required.
• General medicine, family practice, or internal medicine experience preferred.
• Cerner experience preferred.
• Must be fluent in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking).

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
