Medical Assistant

Faith & Grace Community Wellness is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and organized Medical Assistant to join our growing team.

We are a faith-based community wellness practice focused on providing personal, compassionate care while treating each patient with dignity, respect, and kindness. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes initiative, and is comfortable balancing both clinical and front-office responsibilities.

This position will be primarily based at our Roswell clinic and will also include occasional travel to our Artesia clinic to assist with patient care and clinic operations.

This position will serve as an important first point of contact for our patients while also assisting with day-to-day clinical operations.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include both medical assistant and receptionist duties, including:

• Greeting patients and creating a welcoming, professional environment
• Answering phones, responding to messages, and scheduling appointments
• Checking patients in and out
• Collecting payments and providing receipts
• Maintaining accurate patient information and medical records
• Obtaining and documenting vital signs
• Preparing patients for provider visits
• Updating medication lists, allergies, and medical histories
• Assisting the provider with examinations and procedures as needed
• Performing blood draws and specimen collection
• Preparing specimens for laboratory processing
• Administering injections as directed and permitted
• Cleaning and preparing exam rooms between patients
• Maintaining appropriate inventory of medical and office supplies
• Assisting with sterilization and organization of medical equipment
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and following HIPAA requirements
• Helping maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinic
• Assisting with other administrative and clinical duties as needed

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous Medical Assistant or healthcare experience
• Experience with venipuncture and specimen collection
• Experience working in a medical office or front-desk setting
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and basic computer programs
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Medical Assistant certification is preferred but may not be required for the right candidate

Schedule

Monday–Thursday: Daytime clinic hours
Friday: Shortened clinic hours

Specific hours and scheduling expectations will be discussed during the interview.

Compensation

Pay is based on experience, qualifications, and ability to perform both clinical and administrative responsibilities.

We are especially interested in applicants who are looking for a long-term position and want to become an important part of a small, growing healthcare organization.

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
