Join a team that believes great patient care starts with a great team!

Are you looking for more than just a job? Do you want a career where you can grow professionally, make a meaningful impact, and work alongside people who genuinely enjoy what they do?

At New Mexico Foot & Ankle Institute, we believe you shouldn't have to choose between a rewarding career and a great work/life balance. We're a successful, growing podiatry practice looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate, and motivated medical professional to join our team!

Here's what makes us different:

  • Work/Life Balance: No evenings or weekends! Enjoy your time outside of work.
  • Competitive Pay & Benefits: We value our team and offer benefits designed to support you.
  • A Positive Team Culture: We work hard, support one another, and make room for fun along the way.
  • A Strong Support System: You're never just a number here. We believe in teamwork, communication, and helping each other succeed.
  • Meaningful Work: Make a genuine difference in people's lives by helping patients improve their health, mobility, and quality of life.
  • Professional Growth: Expand your skills, learn new technologies, and develop your career in a dynamic medical environment.

About the Position

We're looking for a medical professional who is excited to learn, eager to contribute, and passionate about helping others. Some medical background through previous experience or education is required, but don't worry—we provide extensive training to help you build your skills and succeed!

You'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced physicians and medical professionals in a thriving podiatry practice that treats a wide variety of conditions, from wounds and fractures to complex foot and ankle concerns. You'll also gain exposure to advanced treatments and technologies, including laser therapy, shockwave therapy, custom orthotics with 3D scanning, and surgical procedures.

No two days are exactly alike! If you enjoy staying active, learning new things, working with people, and being part of a team that makes a difference, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

What You'll Do

As a valued member of our medical team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms to ensure a safe, welcoming environment.
  • Preparing patients for their visits and helping them feel comfortable and cared for.
  • Charting and documenting patient information accurately.
  • Performing 3D scans for custom orthotics.
  • Assisting with and carrying out prescribed patient treatment plans within your role and training.
  • Assisting physicians with in-office procedures and treatments.
  • Communicating with patients and helping them understand their care.
  • Taking X-rays in accordance with training and applicable requirements.
  • Supporting administrative tasks and other duties as needed to keep our clinic running smoothly.

We're looking for someone who brings more than medical knowledge to the table. We want a teammate who genuinely cares about people, takes pride in their work, and understands the impact a positive attitude can have on a patient's experience.

Our core values are integrity, compassion, professionalism, diligence, and enthusiasm. These aren't just words on a wall—they guide how we treat our patients, support our coworkers, and represent our practice every day.

If you're dependable, motivated, eager to grow, and ready to contribute to something meaningful, we'd love to meet you!

A Note About Our Hiring Process

As part of our hiring process, candidates must be willing to participate in an 1-hour, unpaid, in-person job-shadowing experience. This provides an opportunity to observe our team, experience our clinic environment, and gain a better understanding of the role and our approach to patient care. It also allows both you and our team to determine whether NMFAI is the right fit.

We believe finding the right fit is important for everyone, and we want you to feel confident about the opportunity before joining our team!
