About Us
Plainfield Urgent Care provides fast, high-quality walk-in care for illnesses and injuries, seven days a week. We’re growing our team and looking for a Medical Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-first environment.

What You’ll Do

• Room patients, take vitals, and document chief complaints and history in the EMR
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, splinting, and wound care
• Perform point-of-care testing (strep, flu, COVID, UA, glucose, pregnancy) and collect specimens
• Perform venipuncture and administer injections as directed
• Perform EKGs and assist with X-ray workflow as trained
• Clean, stock, and turn over exam rooms; maintain supply inventory
• Support front desk with check-in, insurance verification, and scheduling as needed
• Deliver a warm, efficient patient experience from arrival to discharge

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited MA program preferred
• MA certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) preferred
• 1+ year of clinical MA experience; urgent care, ER, or family practice a plus
• Phlebotomy and injection experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Comfortable with EMR systems and multitasking during busy shifts
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Sunday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Evening and weekend availability required
