Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments across various specialties including dermatology, hospital medicine, and urgent care.
• Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately.
• Prepare patients for exams by documenting medical histories, updating electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), and ensuring proper patient identification.
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy (blood draws), medication administration under supervision, and basic life support (BLS) procedures.
• Support medical administrative functions including appointment scheduling, patient intake processes, managing medical records, and coding diagnoses with ICD codes.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols.
• Assist with inventory management of medical supplies and medications to ensure clinic readiness.
• Document all patient interactions thoroughly in EMR/EHR systems with attention to detail in medical documentation and records management.

Experience

• Prior experience working as a Medical Assistant in outpatient clinics, hospitals, or specialty practices such as dermatology or internal medicine is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and ICD coding standards.
• Hands-on experience with electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) and medical office management tools.
• Inpatient or outpatient clinic experience in hospital medicine or urgent care settings is advantageous.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus.
• Familiarity with medical-surgical procedures, geriatrics care, or internal medicine practices enhances your ability to provide comprehensive patient support.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence are essential for success in this role.

Pay: $25.25 - $30.41 per hour
