Duties

• Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems)
• Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout their visit
• Support clinical staff with procedures including medication administration, vaccinations.
• Document clinical notes accurately using ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures to ensure proper billing and record-keeping
• Manage medical supplies inventory and maintain a clean clinical environment in compliance with health standards

Experience

• Prior experience working as a Medical Assistant is preferred
• Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and appointment scheduling is essential
• Demonstrated ability to perform vital signs collection, intake procedures, and basic life support (BLS) certification is required
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding practices is necessary for success in this role
