Full-Time Medical Assistant/Receptionist

Position Overview

Columbia Internal Medicine is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our team full time. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and capable of working independently with confidence while supporting both clinical and front‑desk operations. Responsibilities include patient check‑in/out, scheduling, assisting providers with basic clinical tasks, and maintaining a welcoming, efficient environment for our clients.

Schedule

• Minimum Hours: Monday–Friday 7:30 AM-4:00 PM

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Rooming patients and taking vitals
• Performing EKGs
• Checking patients in and out
• Scheduling appointments
• Answering phones and managing faxes
• Stocking and cleaning exam rooms
• Supporting providers and staff with daily office tasks

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associates MA degree or Certification preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a medical assistant or receptionist
• Skills: Proficient in taking vitals; strong communication and organizational skills
• Preferred: Experience with Medent EMR system, Proficiency in medical terminology, Experience with cover my meds & insurance portals for submitting prior authorizations

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
