Medical Assistant - Dermatology

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant specializing in Dermatology to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical assisting within dermatology settings, demonstrating proficiency in patient care, clinical procedures, and administrative support. Responsibilities

• Assist dermatologists with patient examinations, including preparing treatment rooms and ensuring proper sterilization of equipment.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and other pertinent patient information accurately within the patient record
• Support clinic operations by managing medical supplies inventory, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to safety protocols.
• Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures clearly, and ensuring a comfortable environment.

Requirements

• Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required; prior experience in dermatology is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of dermatology-specific procedures, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and service excellence; ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments such as urgent care or specialty clinics.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
