Medical Assistant (FT)- Dr. Shadid

Full time Medical Assistant needed for busy family practice clinic in Edmond

Monday-Friday, no weekends or major holidays

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients
• Obtain health history
• Take vitals, draw blood, and administer injections, perform EKG's
• Take patient calls and explain lab results to patients
• E-scribing prescriptions
• Assist physician with patient examinations, evaluations, procedures and in all aspects of clinical patient care and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Medical assistant certification and phlebotomist certification a plus
• Experience in a family practice preferred but not required
• Experience with filing prescriptions online
• Experience with x-rays and lab testing preferred
• Knowledge of medications and calculation of dosages
• Experience with electronic health records (Epic) preferred
• High School Diploma or GED
