Medical Assistant II

North Texas Heart Surgery Center is seeking a dependable, organized, and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our Dallas clinic. The Medical Assistant will provide clinical and administrative support to physicians and advanced practice providers in a busy outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, communicates professionally with patients and coworkers, and can manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and a high standard of patient care.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or equivalent documented clinical experience.

Current CPR or Basic Life Support certification, or ability to obtain certification within the required onboarding period.

Knowledge of basic medical terminology and outpatient clinical workflows.

Ability to accurately obtain and document vital signs and patient histories.

Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Professional, dependable, and punctual.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Basic computer skills and the ability to learn electronic health record and practice-management systems.

Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

Ability to organize daily responsibilities and prioritize urgent patient-care needs.

Ability to follow provider instructions and established clinical protocols.

Ability to remain calm and professional when working with upset or anxious patients.

Ability to work collaboratively while also completing assigned duties independently.
