Medical Biller Specialist

Work Location: One World Site, Onsite

Medical Biller Specialist supports healthcare clients by handling patient billing and insurance inquiries through inbound and outbound communications. This role operates in a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) healthcare environment and focuses on delivering accurate billing resolution, exceptional patient experience, and strict regulatory compliance while meeting client-defined performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, and chats related to patient billing and insurance queries.
• Assist patients in understanding their statements, charges, and insurance coverage.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, denials, and claim rejections.
• Coordinate with internal billing, coding, and insurance teams to ensure accurate claim submission and resolution.
• Document all interactions in the system with accuracy and attention to compliance requirements (HIPAA, TCPA, etc.).
• Escalate complex issues to senior billing or compliance staff when necessary.
• Educate patients on payment plans, insurance benefits, and financial assistance options.
• Meet performance targets such as call resolution time, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a High School Graduate, Senior High School Graduate, Associate Graduate and/or College Level.
• Minimum of one year experience in medical billing, healthcare RCM, or customer support
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance claims processes, and EHR systems is highly preferred

• Ability to multitask, efficiently manage extensive call queues, and work across multiple systems

• Basic computer and typing proficiency
• Must be willing to work on a shifting schedule
• Must be willing to work on-site in Taguig City
