About the role
Home Health ICD-10 Coder responsible for accurately assigning ICD-10-CM codes from care plans and applicable documentation in accordance with official coding guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Accurately assign ICD-10-CM codes from care plans and other applicable documentation in accordance with official coding guidelines
- Maintain a minimum of 95% overall coding quality score in diagnostic coding
- Maintain productivity expectations as defined by the department standard for home care services
- Work closely with clinical team members for corrections, updates, and clarifications to either the 485/POC or OASIS
- Deal with coding holds and problem charts
About you
- Minimum 6 months recent experience in home health coding
- Certification in home health coding or OASIS Review (HCS-D or BCHH-C in ICD-10 and COS-C) a plus
