Medical coder US Healthcare

We are hiring experienced Medical Coders (US Healthcare) with hands-on experience in Physician Coding for the following specialties:

Specialties:

Family Medicine

Internal Medicine

Pediatrics

Urgent Care

Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate US Physician/ Medical Coding based on clinical documentation.
• Review medical records, physician notes, diagnoses, procedures and services for accurate code assignment.
• Assign ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS codes accurately.
• Perform E/M (Evaluation & Management) coding according to current coding guidelines.
• Apply appropriate coding principles for physician and outpatient services.
• Identify documentation gaps, coding errors and inconsistencies and ensure appropriate code selection.
• Ensure compliance with AMA, CMS, NCCI, ICD-10-CM and CPT coding guidelines.
• Maintain required coding accuracy, quality and productivity standards.
• Handle specialty-specific charts across physician and outpatient settings.
• Stay updated on applicable coding guidelines and regulatory changes.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in US Medical Coding preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience in Physician Coding / Professional Fee Coding.
• Experience in one or more of the following specialties: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Urgent Care or ASC.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and E/M coding.
• Good understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, clinical documentation and coding guidelines.
• Ability to interpret physician documentation and determine appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes.
• CPC / CCS / COC certification preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet quality and productivity targets.
