Job Purpose

Lead the Medical Coding team to ensure coding accuracy, productivity, quality, and timely delivery while maintaining compliance with US healthcare coding guidelines and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the Medical Coding team and achieve daily productivity and quality targets.
• Review coding records and ensure compliance with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines.
• Conduct coding audits, identify errors, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor productivity, quality scores, TAT, and SLA adherence.
• Analyse coding denials and support process improvement initiatives.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members.
• Coordinate with QA, operations, and clients to resolve coding-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer guidelines, and applicable regulations.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–8 years of experience in Medical Coding, including at least 1 year in a team lead or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of US healthcare coding guidelines and insurance workflows.
• Experience in coding audits, denial analysis, and performance management.
• Multi-specialty coding experience preferred, particularly in E&M, Radiology, Surgery, and OB-GYN.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and medical coding tools.
