Position Title

Medical Coding Team Manager

Experience

• 6–12 years of overall medical coding experience
• 1–5 years in a Team Lead / Managerial role with hands-on coding responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Operational

• Perform hands-on coding for:
• E/M services (Office, Hospital, Consults – MDM & Time-based)
• Surgical procedures (global periods, bundling, modifiers)
• Cardiovascular coding (diagnostic & interventional)
• Review and approve complex and high-risk charts
• Conduct internal coding audits and root-cause analysis
• Ensure compliance with:
• CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS
• CMS guidelines, LCD/NCD policies
• NCCI edits and payer-specific rules
• Act as the escalation point for coding-related denials, audits, and recoupments.

People & Process Management

• Lead, mentor, and upskill a team of coders
• Set and monitor quality, productivity, and accuracy benchmarks
• Provide structured feedback and corrective action plans
• Develop and maintain Coding SOPs, audit tools, and training material
• Collaborate closely with Billing, AR, Denial, and Compliance teams.

Certifications

• ✅ CPC – Mandatory
• ⭐ CPMA / CRC / CCS – Strongly Preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹450,000.00 - ₹750,000.00 per year
