Job Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Content Editor with a strong understanding of medical and healthcare terminology to review, edit, and ensure the accuracy of healthcare-related content across digital platforms.

The ideal candidate should have experience editing medical content, simplifying complex medical information for different audiences, and maintaining high standards of scientific accuracy, readability, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Medical Content Editing & Quality Assurance

• Review, edit, and proofread medical and healthcare content for accuracy, clarity, grammar, consistency, and readability.
• Verify medical terminology, scientific facts, clinical references, and healthcare-related information using credible sources.
• Ensure content is medically accurate, evidence-based, and aligned with approved brand and editorial guidelines.
• Identify misleading, unsupported, or potentially inaccurate medical claims and coordinate necessary corrections.

Content Development & Optimization

• Edit healthcare blogs, articles, website content, patient education materials, social media content, and marketing communications.
• Simplify complex medical concepts into clear, engaging, and audience-friendly content without compromising scientific accuracy.
• Collaborate with medical writers, content strategists, SEO teams, and creative professionals to improve content quality.
• Ensure content follows SEO best practices while maintaining medical accuracy and credibility.

Compliance & Editorial Standards

• Ensure adherence to relevant healthcare advertising guidelines, ethical standards, and client-specific compliance requirements.
• Maintain consistency in medical terminology, tone of voice, formatting, and editorial style.
• Review content for appropriate citations, references, disclaimers, and source credibility.
• Maintain editorial checklists and quality standards across healthcare content deliverables.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Medicine, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in medical content editing, healthcare content, medical communications, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, healthcare concepts, and scientific research.
• Excellent command of English, grammar, proofreading, and editorial writing.
• Ability to interpret scientific literature and translate technical information into accessible content.
• Familiarity with healthcare SEO, digital content platforms, and content management systems is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, research skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Experience working with healthcare brands, pharmaceutical companies, medical publishers, or digital marketing agencies is preferred.
