Medical Laboratory Technologist (Polyclinic)

Responsibilities:
Perform phlebotomy and ECG procedures with accuracy and professionalism.

Conduct Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) and clinical laboratory tests, including urinalysis, haematology, biochemistry, and microscopy, independently and in accordance with established protocols.

Ensure proper specimen identification, accessioning, processing, and storage in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.

Verify and validate test results accurately, identify discrepancies promptly, and carry out the necessary corrective actions when required.

Deliver timely, accurate, and reliable laboratory results to support clinicians in patient diagnosis and care.

Maintain proper documentation and records to ensure traceability and compliance with good documentation practices and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:
Degree in relevant field or an equivalent qualification.

Preferred relevant work experience in a laboratory setting.

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
