Medical Patient Coordinator/Authorization

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient interactions, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations, and providing exceptional service to enhance the patient experience. This role requires proficiency in the EPIC system and a solid understanding of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information regarding services.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
• Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Process patient information efficiently, including insurance verification.
• Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documentation.
• Collaborate with doctor and team to ensure seamless patient flow and service delivery.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient care and service.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience using phone systems effectively in a professional setting.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Previous experience in a healthcare or dental office setting is a plus.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
