Job Overview

Practice Manager — Orthopedic & Wellness Clinic

An on-site leadership opportunity with a small, family-owned clinic where excellent care, community connection, and thoughtful innovation come together.

About Our Clinic

We are a small, family-owned orthopedic and wellness clinic with deep roots in the community and a reputation for warm, personal, patient-centered care. Our physician has cared for this community for nearly 20 years and is well known and loved for his commitment to helping patients return to the lives, activities, and people they care about most.

Our clinic provides both surgical and non-surgical care for orthopedic and sports medicine concerns. We also offer innovative pain and mental health treatments through our CRNA, whose compassionate approach gives patients additional options for relief, healing, and improved quality of life.

We are proud of the small but excellent team we have built. Now, we are looking for the right leader to help support that team, strengthen our systems, and allow the owners to focus more fully on what they do best: caring for patients.

About the Role

The Practice Manager will be an essential on-site leader in the daily life of the clinic. This person will bring organization, accountability, sound judgment, and creative problem-solving. The right candidate will enjoy being close to the work, noticing what needs attention, improving processes, and helping a small practice run with more ease and confidence.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who wants their leadership to matter. In a small practice, every improvement is visible, every relationship counts, and the right manager can make a meaningful difference for patients, providers, and staff every day.

  • Oversee day-to-day clinic operations including schedules, patient management, staff supervision, and administrative workflows
  • Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, financial management, billing processes, vendor relationships and resource allocation
  • Supervise, lead, and encourage a small team of dedicated employees to ensure high performance and compliance with policies
  • Maintain proficiency with electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), practice management software, and other medical office technology
  • Ensure adherence to health regulation policies such as HIPAA compliance, medical records management, and safety standards
  • Maintain credentialing for clinic providers
  • Lead human resources functions including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and fostering a positive team environment
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery and customer service standards
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery and customer service standards
  • Serve as a trusted operational partner to the owners by taking management responsibilities off their plate.

Ideal Candidate

· Accounting, bookkeeping, financial management, or business operations experience.

· Health care or medical office experience is preferred, especially experience with billing, insurance, or practice management.

· Highly detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.

· Comfortable making decisions, solving problems, and building better systems.

· A proactive leader with ingenuity, follow-through, and a calm, steady presence.

· Strong communication skills with patients, staff, providers, vendors, and owners.

· Someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and contributing in a hands-on environment.

· A person who values kindness, professionalism, accountability, and community-centered care.

Why This Role Is Special

This is not a corporate position where your ideas get lost in layers of approval. This is a chance to help lead a respected local clinic with a strong reputation, a caring team, and owners who are deeply invested in their patients and their community.

The right Practice Manager will have the opportunity to shape systems, strengthen the team, relieve pressure from the owners, and become a key part of the clinic’s next chapter.

Experience

  • Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare practice management within clinical or dental settings
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience managing teams in a healthcare environment
  • Strong background in fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, and medical billing processes
  • Extensive knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is essential
  • Familiarity with health regulation policies including HIPAA compliance and medical records management
  • Prior experience in managing healthcare staff across various disciplines such as nursing, dental assistants, or administrative personnel
  • Patient care experience is highly desirable
  • Excellent managerial communication skills coupled with a customer service-oriented approach to patient interactions

Join us as a Medical Practice Manager to lead our team toward operational excellence while delivering outstanding patient care. Your energetic leadership will drive efficiency, foster teamwork, and uphold the highest standards of healthcare practice management. This role offers an engaging environment where your expertise in medical administration supports both staff development and superior patient experiences.
