Medical Practice Manager

Job Summary

An independent cardiology practice in Garland is looking for an experienced practice manager to help build our operations. This is a hands-on role in a small office where you'll have real ownership and room to grow with us.

You'll oversee daily front office operations and supervise staff, manage and negotiate vendor contracts including our EMR and billing services, review invoices for accuracy, coordinate credentialing and payer contracts, and support marketing and referral outreach to primary care offices.

We're looking for three or more years in medical practice management, ideally in a specialty or cardiology setting, someone comfortable with electronic health records, and who can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial management tasks such as budgeting, billing, coding, and reimbursement processes to maintain fiscal health
• Ensure compliance with healthcare laws and regulations including HIPAA, JCAHO standards, health regulation policies, and managed care requirements
• Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records), EHR (Electronic Health Records)
• Implement office management best practices to enhance patient experience and operational efficiency

Skills

• Extensive experience in medical office management with proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as eCW - E clinical Works
• Strong fiscal management skills including budgeting, financial analysis
• Proven ability to supervise healthcare teams effectively while promoting teamwork and high standards of patient care
• Deep knowledge of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA compliance, JCAHO accreditation standards, and health policy policies
• Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to train staff and communicate expectations clearly
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and data analysis purposes
• Experience managing clinic operations
• Ability to handle complex medical terminology and manage medical records accurately
• Skilled in managing healthcare staff schedules, HR functions, and customer service excellence
