Medical Receptionist

An exciting opportunity exists for a capable and personable Medical Receptionist to become part of an established specialist medical practice in Joondalup.

Working at the front desk, you will play an important role in ensuring patients receive a warm, professional and efficient experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice. This position would suit someone who enjoys a varied medical reception role, is comfortable managing a busy clinic environment and works collaboratively as part of a larger team.

Initially offered across three fixed days per week, there is genuine potential for the position to develop into a full-time opportunity as the requirements of the practice continue to grow.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a varied, hands-on medical reception position incorporating front-of-house responsibilities, clinic administration and patient coordination.
Working Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm, duties will include:

• Providing a professional, warm and welcoming front-of-house experience for patients and visitors
• Running and supporting specialist clinics
• Answering incoming telephone calls and managing patient enquiries
• Booking appointments, investigations, tests and procedures
• Patient billing and payment processing
• Scanning and uploading clinical documentation
• Maintaining accurate patient information within the practice management system
• Liaising with patients, doctors and other healthcare providers as required
• Providing general reception and administrative support across the practice
• Working collaboratively with the wider reception and administrative team

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Previous experience in medical reception or medical administration
• A warm, professional and confident front-desk manner
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, doctors and colleagues
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• A compassionate and confidential approach when dealing with patients and sensitive information
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Sound computer literacy and confidence learning clinical and administrative systems
• A reliable, adaptable and team-focused approach

Previous experience using Xestro would be highly regarded but is not essential for an otherwise suitable candidate.

WHAT'S ON OFFER

• Permanent part-time position working three fixed days per week
• Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm
• Hourly rate from approximately $32 per hour, commensurate with experience
