Medical Receptionist

Lumina Eye Center is seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist to join our team. We are looking for a motivated, dependable, and patient-focused professional. The ideal candidate will provide excellent patient service while efficiently managing front-office responsibilities in a fast-paced medical environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in/out patients in a professional and courteous manner
• Answer and manage incoming phone calls and patient inquiries
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Obtain and update patient demographic and insurance information
• Collect copays, deductibles, and other patient balances
• Obtain necessary referrals and authorizations
• Assist with medical records and documentation
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
• Assist with other administrative and front-desk duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous medical office or front-desk experience preferred
• Ophthalmology experience is a plus
• Knowledge of medical insurance, referrals, and authorizations preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Professional, organized, and detail-oriented
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy office
• Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR) and computer systems
• Dependable, punctual, and a team player
• Bilingual English/Chinese

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
