About the role

This is a medical receptionist and administrator role managing reception independently, including greeting patients, handling check-ins, answering calls, and assisting with patient enquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Managing reception independently, including greeting patients and handling check-ins in a friendly manner
• Answering calls and assisting with patient enquiries
• Scheduling and coordinating appointments
• Processing Medicare and private billing with accuracy
• Managing medical records and confidential information
• Performing general reception duties such as scanning, filing, and email management
• Liaising professionally with referring doctors, other health professionals, and team members
• Providing administrative support and assisting with ad hoc duties
• Carrying out administrative tasks delegated by management

About you

• 1-2 years' experience as a medical receptionist or administrator (preferred)
• Excellent communication skills, including a professional and personable phone manner
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and energetic
• Knowledge of Medicare and private billing is preferred but not essential
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Passionate and self-motivated
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Neat and professional presentation
• Australian work rights are required for this role
