Medical Receptionist

We are seeking a Full-Time Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our team and provide excellent customer service to our patients. The ideal candidate will be able to handle a variety of tasks, such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, collecting payments, and answering phones. The successful candidate will be reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Medical billing experience is a plus but not required.

The ideal candidate must have medical office experience.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments for patients.
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate patient records and medical histories.
• Collect patient information, including insurance information, for billing purposes.
• Verify insurance coverage and benefits, and process referrals.
• Provide general information about the practice, services, and rheumatology treatments.
• Cross-train in Medical Assisting to help as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the physician.

Qualifications:

• Prior medical office experience and basic medical terminology preferred
• Bilingual: English & Spanish preferred
• EMR proficient - NextGen preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Team player and multitasker
• Medical Billing experience a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
