About the Role:

Som Medical Practice in Lockport, NY is looking for a friendly and organized Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice. This is a great opportunity to join a dedicated healthcare team where your people skills and attention to detail make a real difference every day.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service
• Maintain and update accurate patient records and demographic information
• Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and communication between patients and clinical staff
• Ensure the front desk and waiting area remain organized and welcoming

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare front office setting preferred
• Familiarity with medical terminology, EHR/EMR systems, and insurance verification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical administrative certification a plus
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to patient confidentiality (HIPAA)

• MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL TO OUR NIAGARA FALLS OFFICE FOR TRAINING FOR THE FIRST 30 DAYS, THEN TRANSFER TO OUR LOCKPORT OFFICE
• MUST BE AVAILABLE BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8AM AND 6PM
