Responsibilities:

• Accurately maintain and update patient medical records, both electronically and in paper format
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
• Review and analyze medical records to identify errors, discrepancies, and inconsistencies
• Develop and implement procedures to improve record-keeping and workflow efficiency
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to resolve medical records-related issues and concerns
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date reports and statistics for quality improvement and regulatory purposes
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Training or experience in medical records management is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and software
