Responsibilities

• Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to input data efficiently and securely.
• Assist healthcare providers by preparing medical documentation that adheres to clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA compliance standards.
• Support the maintenance of comprehensive medical records, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
• Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency room procedures to enhance documentation quality.
• Facilitate effective communication between patients and providers during clinical visits while respecting patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Follow all protocols related to HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to safeguard sensitive health information.

Skills

• Strong transcription skills with the ability to quickly convert spoken words into accurate written records.
• Prior experience in a medical office or clinical setting is highly desirable.
• Deep understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency room procedures.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for efficient management of electronic health records.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and experience maintaining strict patient confidentiality.
• Excellent writing skills with attention to detail for precise medical documentation.
• Fast typing speed combined with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
