What is the job?

The Medical Scribe is responsible in supporting healthcare providers by documenting patient encounters in real time during telemedicine visits, ensuring accurate and complete medical records.

Responsibilities:

• Document virtual telemedicine visits, including medical histories, exams, assessments, findings, and treatment plans in EMR systems.
• Maintain accurate ophthalmology records, including visual acuity, IOP, slit lamp findings, and retinal evaluations.
• Update and manage real-time EMR documentation while ensuring accuracy and HIPAA compliance.
• Support providers with prescriptions, pharmacy communication, referrals, and patient updates.
• Coordinate follow-ups, surgeries, and diagnostic testing schedules with clinical teams.
• Manage remote documentation tasks efficiently while adapting to provider schedules across time zones.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.

• At least two (2) years’ experience as a medical scribe or in a healthcare documentation role.

• Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

• Minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute.
