Medical Technologist

Looking for a Registered Medical Technologist to perform accurate and reliable laboratory testing and support the safe and efficient delivery of diagnostic services.

JOB SUMMARY

The Registered Medical Technologist will collect and process patient specimens, perform laboratory tests and procedures, ensure the accuracy and proper documentation of results, conduct required quality control activities, and help maintain compliance with laboratory safety, biosafety, infection prevention, and other applicable standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect, receive, properly identify, label, process, and handle patient specimens
• Perform routine clinical laboratory tests and procedures within the scope of professional practice
• Ensure accurate recording, documentation, and reporting of laboratory test results
• Perform required quality control procedures and report errors, discrepancies, or testing concerns in accordance with established protocols
• Operate laboratory instruments and equipment properly and perform routine care and maintenance as required
• Prepare and properly handle laboratory reagents, supplies, and materials
• Maintain complete and accurate laboratory records, logs, and required documentation
• Follow laboratory safety, biosafety, infection prevention and control, waste management, and patient confidentiality protocols
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other clinic personnel to support patient care and efficient diagnostic services
• Participate in required training and quality improvement activities
• Perform other laboratory-related duties consistent with the position

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science
• Registered Medical Technologist with a valid PRC license
• Fresh graduates may be considered
• Experience in a clinical laboratory, hospital, diagnostic center, outpatient facility, or similar healthcare setting is an advantage
• Knowledge of standard laboratory procedures, specimen handling, quality control, biosafety, and infection prevention practices
• Good communication, documentation, and patient service skills
• Detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and able to work effectively with a healthcare team

WORK REQUIREMENTS

• Full-time, onsite work at XentroMall Batangas City
• Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reasonable lifting
• Able to observe appropriate laboratory safety precautions when handling specimens, equipment, reagents, and other laboratory materials
• Willing to work beyond regular hours when necessary due to emergencies or operational requirements
