About the role

We are seeking a skilled, dedicated Medical Technologist to join our diagnostic laboratory team full-timein Olongapo City, Zambales. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a crucial role in our laboratory operations, performing a wide range of clinical and diagnostic tests that directly impact patient diagnosis and treatment outcomes. This position is essential to ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of laboratory results that inform clinical decision-making across our healthcare facility.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests, including hematology, clinical chemistry, serology, and immunology analyses
• Operate, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instrumentation to ensure accurate test results
• Prepare patient specimens for analysis following established laboratory protocols and standard operating procedures
• Conduct quality control and quality assurance procedures to maintain laboratory standards and accreditation requirements
• Record, verify, and report laboratory test results accurately and promptly using the laboratory information system
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control, biosafety, and occupational health and safety protocols in the laboratory environment
• Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding test results, turnaround times, and any issues affecting patient care
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities
• Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with advances in laboratory medicine

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology/ Medical Laboratory Science
• Registered Medical Technologist (RMT) with valid PRC License
• Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a clinical laboratory setting
• Proficiency in performing a wide range of laboratory tests across multiple disciplines (hematology, chemistry, serology, etc.)
• Excellent knowledge of laboratory safety protocols, biosafety standards, and infection control procedures
• Strong technical skills with laboratory instrumentation and computer systems
• Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks with competing priorities
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in clinical laboratory science
• Preferred: Experience with automated laboratory analyzers and laboratory information management systems
