Medical Technologist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in laboratory procedures and techniques, with a focus on data management and analysis. This role is vital for ensuring accurate test results that contribute to patient care and clinical decision-making. The Medical Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing advanced laboratory equipment and methodologies.

Duties

• Perform a variety of laboratory tests including ELISA, PCR, flow cytometry, and immunoassays.
• Conduct RNA extraction, DNA isolation, and blood sampling procedures including venipuncture.
• Manage specimen collection and processing while adhering to aseptic techniques.
• Maintain laboratory information management systems to ensure accurate data entry and retrieval.
• Analyze test results and provide interpretations based on established protocols.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to support clinical trials and research initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean laboratory environment.
• Participate in quality control measures and assist in the development of new assays.
• Provide training and guidance to junior staff on laboratory techniques and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• Clinical laboratory experience is required; hospital experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in data management, data analysis skills, and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, blood banking, and vital signs assessment.
• Familiarity with laboratory management practices and clinical trial processes.
• Strong understanding of laboratory techniques including specimen processing and assays.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
