Medical Technologist I

Piper Companies is seeking a Medical Technologist I to join a CRO located in Gaithersburg, MD .

Responsibilities of the Medical Technologist I include:

• Perform clinical pathology testing including clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation, and urinalysis
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation used for biological sample analysis
• Review laboratory data for accuracy and document results in compliance with GLP, SOP, and study requirements
• Perform manual testing procedures including blood smear reviews, manual reticulocyte counts, and urine microscopic examinations

Qualifications for the Medical Technologist I include:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, or a related scientific field
• Experience performing sample analysis in clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation, and/or urinalysis
• Experience performing blood smear evaluations, urinalysis, and operating laboratory instrumentation

Compensation for the Medical Technologist I includes:

• Rate Range: $55,000-$70,000 annually depending on certification and experience
• Comprehensive Benefit Package: Cigna Medical/Dental/Vision, 401K, Sick Leave as Required by Law
