MEDICAL UNDERWRITER

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our dynamic team at Cocolife, a leading insurance provider in the Philippines. In this full-time role, you will play a pivotal part in our continued growth and success, responsible for evaluating risks and ensuring the financial stability of our insurance products. Based in our Makati City office, you will be an integral member of our Insurance & Superannuation team.

What you'll be doing

1. Assessing and evaluating insurance applications to determine appropriate coverage and premium rates
2. Analysing policyholder information, claims history, and other relevant data to make informed underwriting decisions
3. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of insurance regulations, industry trends, and best practices
4. Collaborating cross-functionally with actuarial, claims, and sales teams to ensure efficient and effective underwriting processes
5. Identifying and mitigating potential risks to the organisation
6. Continuously improving underwriting guidelines and procedures to enhance the company's profitability and competitiveness
