Medication Aide - Certified

Certified Medication Aide Role Overview: Administers prescribed medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse, completes documentation, and reports any adverse reactions or resident needs promptly. Provides personal care, responds to call lights, and communicates effectively with residents, staff, and families. Performs duties within the scope of practice, including hygiene and grooming support, ensuring residents' independence and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and document accordingly
• Report PRN medication requests and reactions to nurses
• Provide personal care and respond to resident needs
• Maintain effective communication with team and families
• Assist with hygiene, grooming, and overall resident support
• Perform additional duties as delegated by management

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED
• Certified Medication Aide certification from the Ohio Board of Nursing
• Completion of first aid training and CPR certification
• Knowledge of nursing practices within scope of role
• Strong communication and compassionate caregiving skills
