Medication Aide $18hr 2-10PM, 10-6PM

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medication Aide to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals, and will be skilled in working with individuals with various needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other memory-related conditions. As a Medication Aide, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents while adhering to all medical protocols and regulations.

Duties

• Administer medications to residents as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Monitor and document residents' vital signs and overall health status
• Assist with daily living activities and provide personal care as needed
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide support for residents with tube feeding, catheter care, and other specialized needs
• Utilize EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for patient documentation
• Engage with residents to promote their emotional well-being and quality of life
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for all residents

Requirements

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospital settings is preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and caregiving practices
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols and medical documentation standards
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in patient care

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
