Medication Aide/Med Tech

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Aide/Med Tech to join our vibrant healthcare team. Duties

• Administer prescribed medications accurately following state healthcare regulations and facility policies
• Observe and document residents’ responses to medications, vital signs, and overall health status using electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Assist residents with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor residents for signs of adverse reactions or changes in condition, including dementia or Alzheimer’s care needs
• Maintain detailed medical documentation, including medication logs, medical records, and incident reports in compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, families, and other caregivers to coordinate resident care plans

Skills

• Proven experience working with geriatric patients in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings
• Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR systems such as Cerner or similar platforms
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards
• Certified in First Aid and CPR; knowledge of basic life support techniques required
• Experience working with individuals with dementia is highly valued
• Excellent caregiver communication skills to provide compassionate resident personal care assistance while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA regulations

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
