Duties

• Safely administer prescribed medications to residents following all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA guidelines for maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Monitor vital signs and observe residents for any changes in health status, reporting findings promptly to nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring completeness and compliance.
• Follow all safety protocols related to manual handling and heavy lifting to prevent injury while assisting residents or moving supplies.
• You will bring the medication cart to the residents and make sure they are given there medications.
• Restock the medication cart and take in deliveries.

Skills

• Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments with geriatric or disabled populations.
• Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments.
• Excellent communication skills for caregiving and caregiver communication; ability to collaborate seamlessly with healthcare teams.
• Knowledge of state healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and resident privacy standards.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling required during supply management and medication cart.
• Experience working within senior living facilities or senior care environments is highly preferred.
