Medication Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Technician to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals and a strong understanding of patient care practices. As a Medication Technician, you will play a crucial role in administering medications, monitoring patient health, and ensuring compliance with medical protocols.

Duties

• Administer medications to residents according to prescribed schedules and protocols.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Monitor vital signs and report any changes in resident conditions to the nursing staff.
• Assist with tube feeding, catheter care, and other personal care needs as required.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide support for residents with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other developmental disabilities.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents by adhering to infection control standards.
• Engage with residents to promote their emotional well-being and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or hospital settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs is essential.
• Familiarity with medication administration practices and procedures.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
