Medication Technician

We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Part-Time Medication Technicians to support the health, safety, and well-being of our residents.

The Medication Technician is responsible for assisting with the administration of medications in accordance with physician orders, established policies and procedures, applicable California regulations, and each resident’s individualized service plan.

The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, patience, strong organizational skills, and a genuine commitment to providing quality care while promoting resident dignity, independence, and quality of life.

Responsibilities:

• Pass medications to Assisted Living and Memory Care residents according to physician orders, prescribed schedules, and facility procedures
• Provide assistance (or reminders) with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair cleaning and brushing, and transferring to and from activities and meals, as needed
• Ensure clients receive their medication on time
• Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.
• Assist in meal preparation/presentation, serving to resident, and other dining related responsibilities; record and report changes in resident's eating habits to the supervisor.
• Record and report changes in resident's condition to the supervisor including but not limited to changes in resident's ability to perform activities of daily living, skin changes, bruising, etc.
• Daily follow up on bath schedules and vital signs (blood pressure, weight, and respiration, etc).
• Immediately report all incidents or accident involving residents to the Resident
• Follow proper procedures in emergency situations and respond promptly and positively to resident requests for assistance, including emergency pull cords, telephone calls, and requests from family and friends.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Caregiver
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Med Tech
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid CPR certification
• Speak, read, and understand the English language
• Committed to health & safety
• Able to do housework and cooking
• Well-organized and reliable
• Excellent communication and people skills
• A positive and compassionate attitude
• Physical stamina
• High school diploma or equivalent

Work Schedule:

• 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
• 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm
