MEFPS Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled MEFPS Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team at JASA Property Holdings, Inc. This is a full-time position based in Quezon City, Metro Manila. As a MEFPS (Mechanical, Electrical, Fluid Power Systems) Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and optimisation of mechanical and related systems for our property development and management operations. This position is integral to ensuring that our facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical, electrical, and fluid power systems for property facilities and infrastructure projects
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new installations and system upgrades
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and design documentation using industry-standard software
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems
• Perform regular maintenance planning and develop preventative maintenance schedules
• Conduct technical audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety codes and building standards
• Troubleshoot system failures and implement corrective measures to minimise downtime
• Prepare technical reports and cost estimations for system implementations and upgrades
• Stay current with industry standards, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in mechanical, electrical, or fluid power systems design and implementation
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building automation technologies
• Proficiency in CAD software and MEP design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar applications)
• Comprehensive understanding of Philippine Building Code and relevant safety standards
• Excellent technical documentation and report-writing skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not essential
• Experience with building information modelling (BIM) is advantageous
• Knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient system design is a plus
