Melanographer

About the role

Experienced RN required to join our team as a Melanographer in Molemap Northland, Whangarei, on a 4-6/10 part-time basis, to play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical skin photo-imaging services, with a focus on the detection and diagnosis of melanoma and non melanoma skin cancer.

What you'll be doing

• Performing full-body skin examinations using advanced imaging technologies to identify potential melanoma/skin cancer lesions
• Capturing detailed high-resolution images of moles and other skin lesions
• Analysing images to identify potential signs of melanoma and other skin cancers
• Providing comprehensive patient assessments
• Maintaining accurate detailed patient records, complying with relevant medical and privacy regulations
• Ongoing professional development and training, staying current with the latest advancements in medical photo-imaging and melanoma detection

What we're looking for

• A mature RN who can work independently, in good health, with great people and excellent computer skills

• Completion of a recognised qualification in nursing, registered with the NZ Nursing Council.

• Previous work experience as a Melanographer is a bonus

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to accurately interpret medical images and identify potential areas of concern ( backed up by AI analysis and dermatologist reporting).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and manual dexterity.

• A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient confidentiality and data security
