Member Service Representative

We are looking for a Member Service Representative to support day-to-day branch service operations. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping members with financial needs, handling transactions with precision, and building strong relationships through attentive service. The person in this role will contribute to a positive branch experience by combining account support, product awareness, and operational accuracy in a fast-paced retail banking environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage routine member banking activity, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan-related payments, with a high degree of accuracy.

• Support members with setting up and maintaining consumer accounts, including deposit products and individual retirement account services.

• Guide members through consumer lending inquiries and provide assistance during the application process.

• Recognize opportunities to match members with suitable financial products and explain available options clearly.

• Connect members with specialized services such as digital banking, mortgage offerings, lending solutions, and business banking resources when appropriate.

• Follow all applicable credit union policies, regulatory expectations, and established branch procedures to maintain compliance.

• Reconcile cash drawers and assist with daily branch operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.

• Provide attentive, member-focused service while helping the branch meet performance, service, and sales objectives.

• At least 1 year of experience in customer service, retail banking, or a related financial services environment.

• Hands-on experience processing banking transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and account transfers.

• Confidence handling cash accurately and maintaining balanced drawers in a transaction-based setting.

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with members.

• Familiarity with consumer banking products and general branch service operations.

• Ability to identify member needs and make thoughtful product or service recommendations.

• Working knowledge of compliance standards, operating procedures, and accuracy expectations within a banking environment.
