Member Service Representative-Float

A DFCU Member Service Representative serves as the initial point of contact for our members. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping others, has empathy, always remains professional, and pays attention to detail.

This position requires the MSR work at all branches when assigned. Hours may vary slightly Monday through Friday depending on the branch you are assigned to (daytime hours only). With a rotation of every 3rd Saturday 8:15-12:30.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Welcomes members, listening to their needs, while providing routine information concerning services and directs member to appropriate department for specific information and service.
• Provide friendly, professional, personal service to all members and coworkers.
• Processing transactions (withdrawals, deposits, loan payments, cashier checks, money orders, visa payments, etc.)
• Balances cash drawer and daily transactions.
• Proactively seek opportunities to identify appropriate products and services for the betterment of the member.
• Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly and accurate manner.
• Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including filing/scanning, computer input and answering the telephone.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience:

Up to six months of similar or related experience.

Education:

A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills:

• Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.
• Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.

Computer skills.

• Microsoft Office experience preferred
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and accuracy a must.
