Fibre Council Europe (formerly FTTH Council Europe) is a non-profit association, representing the entire value chain of the Fibre Optic industry which is an essential enabler of a sustainable and digital society.

Our 180 members are vendors of products and services, network operators, consultants, industry associations .. all united under the mission of promoting the adoption and benefits of fibre networks in Europe.

As Membership Manager you will join a dynamic and diverse international team. You will be responsible for defining and implementing the membership policy with the objective to promote and develop our services , maximize the engagement of existing members, and recruit new ones.

Fibre Council Europe, formerly known as FTTH Council Europe, is a not-for-profit industry association bringing together more than 160 members across the fibre connectivity value chain and working to advance ubiquitous full fibre-based connectivity across Europe.  

Building on more than two decades of expertise in FTTH and full-fibre connectivity, the Council represents the broader fibre ecosystem today — from residential and business connectivity to the fibre infrastructure supporting mobile networks, data centres and digital services.

Membership Manager job description and prerequisites

Your role

• Reporting to the Director General

• Working in close co-operation with other team members in charge of Event management, Marketing and Communication, Public Affairs, Administration & finances.

• Defining the membership policy in  relation with the Director General, in alignement with the Council overarching strategy.

• Managing relations with existing members to maximise their engagement and satisfaction

• Supporting the activity of our 7 Committees

• Development and promotion of  monetized services (sponsorship of newsletters, publications and webinars) …

• Developing and implementing recruitment campaigns to develop further membership and managing relations with prospects

• Managing the members engagement platform (IT tool)

• In relation with our annual event , Fibre Horizons Conference, supporting members for the development of workshop sessions and managing the Fibre Awards process.

• Supporting the Accounting and Finance department for membership fees credit control

• Secretariat of the association , direct support to Board meetings and General Assemblies

Practical conditions

• Work location is Brussels with possibility of remote working 2 days / week

• Employee contract or independent contractor agreement

• Full time position

Candidate Profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, ideally in marketing/communication/business administration

• 3 to 5 years work experience in similar role or in the promotion of professional services

• Professional written and spoken English is a must, additional European language skills is a plus.

• Very good communication skills

• Service oriented.

• Autonomous, organised, self-motivated with a high level of integrity

• Team player

• EU permanent work permit is a must.
